Mandatory quarantine for travellers coming from certain high-risk areas

The Federal Council has decided that from 6 July 2020, quarantine obligations will apply to persons entering Switzerland from a state or territory with a high risk of infection listed in Ordinance COVID-19 Measures in the field of international passenger transport

Any person who has stayed in a country or zone with a high risk of coronavirus infection must comply with the following procedure:

 

  • travel immediately and directly to their home or other suitable accommodation;
  • stay there permanently for 10 days after entry into Switzerland (quarantine);
  • declare their arrival in Switzerland within two days to the cantonal authorities using the form below.

If you have one or more of the common symptoms now or in the next few days, you may have contracted the new coronavirus. If this is the case, go to www.coronacheck.ch for a self-assessment. Depending on the coronacheck result, go into isolation and get tested.
